'Safety Within' - Graco supports Road Safety Week 2024

Graco, the experts in child car seats and official supporter to the charity Brake, is raising awareness of Brake’s Road Safety Week 2024 with the campaign, Safety Within.
To coincide with Road Safety Week from 17th _ 23rd November, visit Graco's Instagram page for tips and advice to ensure your car journeys are as safe as possible.
Car Safety
The team at Graco know that safety in the car is a top priority for 87% of parents, so were inspired to act after they identified that nearly 1 in 6 weekday accidents occur during the school run hours and the peak is during the afternoon rush hour. Experts claim this is due to drivers being distracted from inside the car, being less alert than during the morning drop, are in more of a hurry to get home, and there are more pedestrians on the pavements. What's more, driving on autopilot in a familiar setting means we're not as alert to unusual situations, so many accidents are within a 10-mile radius of our homes.
Safety Within
The Safety Within campaign includes tips and advice, such as how to manage your nerves on that very first car trip with your baby, and provides strategies to keep older kids in appropriate car seats for their age and size. There's advice on how to manage distractions, plus ways to teach children from an early age to be safety aware inside the car and why it’s so important not to distract the driver.
There's also a reminder of the R129 car seat standard rule, to help parents ensure their child is safely secured in their seat, and how to check they are in the correct seat for their height, age and development.
Working with experts and parent partners, Graco's campaign is super helpful to all parents looking to keep their children as safe as possible in their car seats inside the car.
Graco's SnugTurn System
As part of the campaign, Graco is thrilled to introduce its newest and super safe car seat solution, the SnugTurn System, to reassure parents that ‘when you can’t hold them, we will’. Alternatively, the SnugGo i-Size R129 2-in-1 convertible car seat rotates 360 degrees and will grow with your child from birth to around four years old.
The complete SnugTurn System meets i-Size and R129 standards. This means it has undergone enhanced side impact testing, ensuring little ones rearward face for longer, giving you the peace of mind that you are protecting your little one in the very best way.
